C&L Are Coming Home!

Two Survived & Punished NY members are coming home! CW and LM are mothers, poets, survivors, and advocates, and they're both returning to NYC after jointly spending over two decades in prison. They’re raising funds together for living expenses like clothes, food, housing, transportation, and health care. Let’s give them both a warm welcome in making sure they can access the things they need upon their return.

LM and CW would like to share some of their words here.  They send their deep appreciation for your support.

To be molded

I am not a chalkboard
To be erased
And done over
I am not a picture
To be painted
To your liking
I cannot be
Who you want me to be

Who I am
I was made
In the likeness

"I am coming home on a brand new out look on life and I can not wait to start the next phase because I now have the education that I have always wanted and now I've a few vocational completions to get a job and help people that are in need mentally and emotionally especially the younger generation. I have also learned that all things comes through our Lord and Savior and that he will not come when you like him, but he is always on time. My favorite hobbies I like to do is reading and helping people that are not abled to help themselves especially my elders. There are a few thing that I would like to get before or when I get home things like a cellphone, hygiene products, laptop for my schooling and a few clothes until I am abled to do for myself being that we still in phases of this pandemic that is still happening around us.

Although, I will be free, I am still going to be continuing getting my degrees with Marymount College. I will also still be working on becoming a better person and being a positive role model for my children and others. Thank you for your contributions and anything else anyone can do to help me."
