Nadine House Education Resource Center

I come from a minority ethnic group in Asia, which bears several names: Miao or Hmong. This community is often isolated, poor and discriminated for its traditions. They are a soft hearted culture which aim to avoid conflicts therefore they are frequently silent of the injustices they are suffering. Today, I can no longer close my eyes and silence my heart to watch my people remain voiceless and abandoned. This is why, since June 2018, Nadine House has been working to improve the living conditions and education opportunities of the Hmong children in close collaboration with the local community.

My desire and duty is to be in the forefront to carry out a humanitarian mission to minority ethnic groups in Thailand, without intermediaries, in order to ensure the proper allocation of donations.

Children's Aid: Nadine House's Primary Goal

In the village of Wieng Kham, near Chiang Rai, Thailand, the majority of ethnic minority parents are illiterate and live below the poverty line. In these conditions, very few children have access to health and education. This is why one of the first actions carried out by Nadine House in December 2018, was to offer language courses (English, French, Chinese) to the children of the village. These children are between the ages of 5 and 18 years old, and very few have the chance to access an education. Today, with Nadine House, new perspectives are offered to them. Some of them even dare to dream of pursuing higher education studies.

To go further, we have started to build a learning facility which includes a library room. We laid the first stones from my personal funds and thanks to a fundraising campaign through family, friends, relatives, and peers. As of November 2019, part of the learning room was opened to the children. The children were so delighted with the opportunity to learn as they entered and saw the room.

Due to shortage of funds, the other portions of the construction could not be finished and have been delayed. The roof remains uncovered as well as soundless empty rooms do to lack of set up equipment and supplies for the facility. Therefore, I call upon your kindness to lend a hand to lay the second phase of bricks to complete this building. This project is dear to my heart because will establish the foundation of a place for the children to be able have a dream in life, learn and share.

Together with your generosity, we can bring to this neglected ethnic group, a positive and sustainable change for them and the future of their children.

The many children and I thank you kindly for your help.
