Reunite a mother with her family after 10 years

Donation protected
Bridget Ogom Ezeanyaeche is a single mother of two boys, cancer survivor and my personal hero. Unfortunately, her immigration status caught up with her. Bridget was given an ultimatum: Stay and get deported, or leave with a ten year penalty. With an increasingly ill mother in Nigeria, and wanting the best possible life for her teenage boys, she reluctantly left, giving custody to their father. But, even in the place where she was born, a place where she should’ve been safe, her situation worsened. Within the first year she lost everything she had in a fire. She has been robbed, threatened and abandoned by her family. There have even been attempts made on her life. The only good to come out of this is that her ten year requirement has been finally fulfilled. This is where you can come in to help me bring my mom home.

The only thing that’s been holding me back to bring her home is money. What I need are the funds for :

$535 for the I-130 Petition for Alien relative

$325 for the visa Application fee

$200 for her medical examination fee

$220 for the immigration fee

$120 for the Affidavit of support fee

Lawyer fees are anywhere from $3000- $5000.

This isn’t including the cost of her food, water and shelter while we wait at least a year for her case to be approved. Her plane tickets, transportation to the airport, the cost of replacing documents that were either stolen or damaged in the fire.

My name is Martin Amandi Mbanong-Ezeanyaeche, I am her oldest son. My brother and I have tried to save her on our own for about 2 years now, but there is always a problem, always an emergency. Over the years knowing that she is suffering has taken a toll on both of us. My brother and I have been sending her money every week for feeding and water, making it all the more difficult to gather the funds. We were losing hope. I couldn't figure out how we could pull it off, but then I realized that we didn't have to do it alone. I saw the power of crowdfunding and how it changed other peoples lives for the better with care and support. It seemed silly at first, but it was the one thing I haven't tried.

So, I turn to you, world. I'm hoping your generosity, kindness and open hearts can help me raise the funds to just bring my mom home here to someplace safer, and back with her two boys. Give her a chance to meet her grandchildren for the first time. I want her to have a proper chance to live a peaceful life and for her to know that her suffering was not in vain. Every donation, no matter how small brings us one step closer. Every dollar counts.  Even if you aren't able to donate, please help share this with others on social media, at work, or wherever you can. Any information on immigration or any additional resources that can help bring my mom back home would be greatly appreciated!
