CJ's bakery is a community interest company (CIC) giving work experience and opportunities to adults with learning disabilities. Based in North London, our working bakery encourages people of all backgrounds and abilities to learn and work together, and we are very proud of the standard of bakes we produce (if you haven't already tried one, we would HIGHLY recommend).

Set up in 2021, more than 15 adults with learning disabilities are invaluable members of our team, without whom CJ's would not be possible. We currently rely on our wonderfully loyal local customers.

Over the last year, we have branched into baking for corporate events, finding that larger orders work well for our team of bakers both financially and practically. Corporate clients also allow our team to showcase their amazing products, and sometimes even socialise and develop their communication skills at events all over London. At CJ's, we would like to encourage more orders like these, to be able to show the world what amazing things adults with learning disabilities are capable of when given a nurturing, meaningful, safe space.

We have a fundraising target of £2000 which we aim to raise by the end of September. This will be used to:

1. Create a professionally produced marketing video to showcase CJ's, focused on the amazing skills and personalities of the bakers, the high quality bakes we make and the positive and supportive environment that we nurture. This will be used on social media and our website to inspire those with learning disabilities globally whilst hopefully encouraging potential new corporate clients

2. Some of our kitchen and storage equipment needs upgrading after working so hard for the past few years

3. Upgrade our website, improving user experience and increasing professionalism, so that we can grow and thrive into the future
