Citizenship for Thimna Morse
Donation protected
A few months back Thimna went into preterm labor at almost 20 weeks pregnant giving birth to baby girl, Kulungile Grace, who lived for only an hour. Due to the trauma and grief that came with such a sudden tragedy, Thimna had to withdraw from school. Unfortunately she was unable to handle the program, working, and being a wife and mother to their 2yr old son during such a tragic time. Originally from South Africa, Thimna’s withdrawal meant forfeiting her F-1 visa. Even though she is married to a US Citizen, that has not meant she gains citizenship or a green card automatically. We still need to file to get the process started and that’s where it gets challenging. We are now racing against the clock, unable to file due to financial difficulties and running the risk of deportation. The costs of just filing is $2000 and we do not have that at the moment. This is where we’re pulling on our community to ask for help. We’re hoping that you would consider supporting our family by donating any amount possible. Any gift big or small will help us get closer to the goal of getting Thimna her residency and keeping our family together.
Thank you for being apart of our tribe. Continued prayers are welcome as we navigate all of this.
