Circle the Lake with Christmas Cheer

Many have heard of the planned community wide outdoor Christmas caroling event to be held on Saturday, December 19th, 2020. Vocalists from Main Street Music Hall along with convoys of community members will travel around the lake stopping at the local Nursing & Assisted Living facilities spreading Christmas Cheer through caroling outside of each facility.
Another layer is being added to this event and we need your help and donations to make it happen. As you know, both Staff and Residents of Nursing & Assisted Living facilities have had a very difficult year with COVID-19. Residents have been isolated to the facilities (some even to their room), family and friend visits are either virtual or separated by windows. Staff of the facilities have not only had to take on extra precautions in their work environment but they also have done an amazing job in providing additional comfort to the residents due to the isolation.
We’d like to incorporate a Give Back to the Residents & Staff during our caroling event. Here’s the ask to our community! Please consider donating gift cards, items, or even monetary contributions that will be gifted to Staff members of each of the local facilities. For the Residents, we are seeking donations of big cuddly stuffed animals to provide additional comfort during this difficult holiday/year. There are hundreds of both Staff & Residents among our lake area, please consider giving big for this great cause. Gift Donations can be dropped off at any of the 5 local chambers of commerce offices (Camdenton, Eldon, Lake Area, Lake West, and Versailles).
