Circle of Support in a Time of Grief

Ray Dettlaff, Lead Driver for Sun Produce Co-op, has lost the love of his life to a lingering illness that took a sudden turn for the worse. Ray’s fiancée, Nancy Nispel, passed away late Monday night, May 29. Ray and Nancy’s love story is one of a kind: they dated each other in high school and then went their separate ways, only to meet up again two years ago. Thrilled at coming back into each other’s lives, Ray and Nancy were busy planning a future together, including their blended family of beloved children, grandchildren, and dogs, when her life was cut short.

Many of you have met Ray, picking up local food at your farm, or delivering it to your door. We would like to invite you to show your caring support for Ray and his family in their time of profound grief. Aiming to raise $5,000 to cover expenses for laying Nancy to her rest, and also to help with moving and living expenses as Ray and his youngest daughter move out of the home they shared with Nancy, we have started a GoFundMe Page to support our co-worker, Ray.
