Ciao, mi chiamo Cinzia e ho avviato una raccolta fondi perché desidero aiutare mia madre, pittrice e insegnante d'arte che ha realizzato opere per la comunità, a ritrovare se stessa e a riaccendere la luce negli occhi. Una grave malattia l'ha profondamente segnata e un recente lutto le ha fatto "smarrire la sua strada", privandola della gioia di creare e di condividere la sua passione con gli altri.

Questa necessità ha fatto nascere in me un sogno: donarle un nuovo inizio.

Trasformare l'atelier di mia madre e i luoghi in cui ha vissuto, e tuttora vive, nella sede di un'associazione culturale che porterà il suo nome, luogo dove la sua arte possa continuare a vivere e a ispirare. Immagina un atelier, un luogo in cui l'arte incontra la vita, uno spazio magico dove i colori prendono vita grazie alla multimedialità e le emozioni si tramutano in opere d'arte (pittoriche, scritte, recitate). Un luogo dove le nuove generazioni, e i giovani talenti che vi nascono, possano crescere e svilupparsi, scoprire le gioia della creazione e dell'espressione artistica e dove la comunità possa ritrovarsi e celebrare la bellezza. Dove mia madre possa ritrovare se stessa.

Con il tuo aiuto, possiamo trasformare questo sogno in realtà. Ristruttureremo l'atelier, creeremo uno spazio accogliente e stimolante dove organizzare corsi, laboratori, mostre ed eventi culturali. Un luogo dedicato a Pina: dove mia madre possa “tornare” in una casa viva e vivace. Dove la sua eredità artistica possa riprendere a brillare e continuare a ispirare le nuove generazioni.

Perché è importante? Perché l'arte ha il potere di guarire, di unire e di trasformare. Perché ogni persona merita un'opportunità per esprimersi e realizzare i propri sogni. Perché l'eredità di Pina è troppo preziosa per essere dimenticata.

Chi è mia madre

Mia madre, Pina Mazzara, che oggi ha 87 anni, è stata un'artista molto amata dai suoi ragazzi con i quali ha condiviso tutte le sue passioni, insegnando loro l'amore per l'arte e il rispetto per la memoria del passato attraverso il recupero e la conservazione di foto e oggetti antichi e storici, con lo scopo di sensibilizzare e orientare le varie generazioni dei suoi allievi al rispetto delle tradizioni antiche, culturali, religiose e familiari. Oltre ad essere una coinvolgente e straordinaria "maestra" è stata anche una bravissima pittrice, vincitrice di premi e riconoscimenti nel mondo; i migliori critici hanno scritto di lei parole encomiabili dando lustro alla sua produzione. Otto anni fa purtroppo ha smesso di dipingere a causa di un ictus che le paralizzato metà del corpo e le ha tolto la voglia e la possibilità di continuare ad esprimere tutto il suo mondo. La recente perdita del marito ha contribuito a minare la voglia di fare che tanto la ha caratterizzata per tutta la sua vita.

Il mio sogno è donarle uno spiraglio di luce attraverso la creazione di una "casa d'arte" nella quale continuare a parlare di lei. Questo sogno è stato condiviso con mio padre, prima che morisse, regalandogli la gioia e la certezza di non far perdere e di mantenere a lungo la memoria viva, perpetrando l'opera che fu di sua moglie.

La mia volontà è quella di dedicare a lui il mio progetto e di trasformare la casa dove hanno vissuto e l'atelier di mia madre in luogo di incontri artistico-culturali dove immergersi e rivivere l'atmosfera che io ho respirato e assorbito fin da bambina.

Questo obbiettivo sarà raggiunto permettendo a chi abbia voglia di conoscere mia madre, l'artista, di percorrere con visite guidate i luoghi in cui ha vissuto e ha operato: la sua casa, l'atelier; la Chiesa in cui sono presenti 8 pale d'altare, il Comune con installazioni permanenti e il Calvario dove insieme ad altri artisti ha realizzato opere che rappresentano la Via Crucis.

Infine, il mio sogno è che la "Casa d'Arte Pina Mazzara" diventi uno spazio di riferimento per i giovani in cui sentirsi a loro agio e liberi di esprimere se stessi, potenziando la loro identità e creatività; un faro per gli artisti emergenti e per chi ama la bellezza e la gentilezza, uno spazio per le persone di tutte le età dove potranno esprimere la loro creatività e trovare l’ispirazione, e dove gli artisti emergenti (come anche i partecipanti ai laboratori) potranno esporre le loro opere; o stare insieme condividendo. Più o meno ogni spazio della Casa sarà un “atelier aperto” a tutti, dove la comunità potrà ritrovarsi e celebrare la condivisione e la resilienza.

I fondi ricevuti saranno necessari per concretizzare il progetto di aiutare mia madre a emozionarsi nuovamente.

Le prime spese da sostenere saranno le seguenti:

1) spese promozione e pubblicità

2) materiale per laboratori

3) tavolo componibile e sedie per laboratori

4) attrezzatura espositiva e multimediale

5) cavalletti per esposizione

6) binari, ganci e catene per la galleria d'arte

Hi, my name is Cinzia and I have started a fundraiser because I want to help my mother, a painter and art teacher who has created works for the community, find herself and rekindle the light in her eyes. A serious illness deeply scarred her and a recent bereavement made her “lose her way,” depriving her of the joy of creating and sharing her passion with others.

This need sparked a dream in me: to give her a fresh start.

To transform my mother's atelier and the places where she lived, and still lives, into the headquarters of a cultural association that will bear her name, a place where her art can continue to live and inspire. Imagine an atelier, a place where art meets life, a magical space where colors come to life through multimedia and emotions are transformed into works of art (pictorial, written, recited). A place where new generations, and the young talents born there, can grow and develop, discover the joys of creation and artistic expression, and where the community can come together and celebrate beauty. Where my mother can find herself.

With your help, we can make this dream a reality. We will renovate the atelier, create a welcoming and inspiring space where we can organize classes, workshops, exhibitions and cultural events. A place dedicated to Pina: where my mother can “return” to a lively and vibrant home. Where his artistic legacy can shine again and continue to inspire new generations.

Why is it important? Because art has the power to heal, unite and transform. Because every person deserves an opportunity to express themselves and realize their dreams. Because Pina's legacy is too precious to be forgotten.

About my mother

My mother, Pina Mazzara, who is now 87 years old, was a much-loved artist by her children with whom she shared all her passions, teaching them the love of art and respect for the memory of the past through the recovery and preservation of old and historical photos and objects, with the aim of raising awareness and orienting the various generations of her pupils to respect ancient, cultural, religious and family traditions. In addition to being an engaging and extraordinary “teacher,” she was also a very good painter, winner of prizes and awards in the world; the best critics wrote praiseworthy words about her, giving luster to her production. Eight years ago she unfortunately stopped painting due to a stroke that paralyzed half of her body and took away her desire and ability to continue expressing her whole world. The recent loss of her husband has helped undermine the drive that has characterized her so much throughout her life.

My dream is to give her a glimmer of light through the creation of an “art house” in which to continue talking about her. This dream was shared with my father before he died, giving him the joy and certainty of not having the memory lost and kept alive for a long time, perpetuating the work that was his wife's.

My will is to dedicate my project to him and to transform the house where they lived and my mother's atelier into a place of artistic-cultural encounters where one can immerse oneself and relive the atmosphere that I breathed and absorbed as a child.

This goal will be achieved by allowing those who want to get to know my mother, the artist, to go on guided tours of the places where she lived and worked: her home; the atelier; the Church where there are 8 altarpieces; the Town Hall with permanent installations; and the Calvary where together with other artists she created works depicting the Stations of the Cross.

Finally, my dream is that the “Pina Mazzara Art House” will become a reference space for young people where they can feel comfortable and free to express themselves, empowering their identity and creativity; a beacon for emerging artists and those who love beauty and kindness; a space for people of all ages where they can express their creativity and find inspiration, and where emerging artists (as well as workshop participants) can exhibit their works; or be together sharing. More or less every space in the House will be an “open studio” for all, where the community can come together and celebrate sharing and resilience.

The funds received will be needed to materialize the project of helping my mother get excited again.

• to provide space for the expression of artists of all arts who wish to emerge and manifest their love of beauty and art in general;

• to hold readings, plays, film forums, musical events and art workshops, podcasts and vodcasts;

• to create a multimedia room that will help visitors immerse themselves in her reality.

The first expenses to be incurred will be as follows:

1) promotion and advertising expenses

2) materials for workshops

3) modular table and chairs for workshops

4) display and multimedia equipment

5) easels for exhibition

6) rails, hooks and chains for the art gallery
