Faversham Community Boat Build
We're getting hands on with our Maritime Heritage!
Help us raise money to kick-start the Cinque Ports Coastal Rowing community boat building project.
The shared activity of building a boat is an excellent way to enhance community cohesion, develop new skills, self-confidence and promote awareness of our maritime heritage. Of particular value to those with anxiety, depression or suffering from social isolation, the project seeks to involve all ages, ability levels and backgrounds in building a number St Ayles Coastal Rowing Skiffs for use by the people of our town.
We are throwing down the gauntlet to other coastal communities and, in particular, the Cinque Ports, to join us in this challenge so that we can hold annual coastal rowing matches.
Along the way we'll learn about the Cinque Ports, develop boatbuilding skills AND get some exercise.
Your donation, however small, will help us bring this community project to life - thank you for your help.
