Cian Mooney Future Farm Leaders Programme

Paul O’Neill, Eoin Regan, Adam Power and Adam Brennan are doing the New York half marathon in aid of Cian Mooney who tragically died in a road accident.
The Cian Mooney Future Farm Leaders Programme was set up by the Mooney family in conjunction with Kilkenny IFA in memory of their 17 year old son Cian, who tragically lost his life in a road accident. Cian, who was a student at Kildalton Agricultural College at the time, was a budding farmer with huge plans for the future. His passion for farming was the catalyst to open up a programme to educate young agricultural students in the current regulations and policies for farming. The successful candidates are brought to Brussels, where they visit with MEPs in the European Parliament, and with other farming representative bodies.
This gives them a platform discuss issues relevant to the future of farming nationally, in order to ensure a viable and sustainable farming industry for our younger generations going forward.
