CHYP (Cirencester Housing for Young People)
Do you want to join us in making a difference? Cirencester College Pastoral Team are raising money in aid of CIRENCESTER HOUSING FOR YOUNG PEOPLE and every donation will help. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this vital local charity.
We will be running the Fairford 10k on the 8th of June. A number of us have only recently started training and predict it's going to be quite a challenge for us!!
The important support that Cirencester Housing for Young People provides:
- Residents ages 16-25, will come from a variety of different backgrounds, where most have been made homeless as a result of family break up, abuse or leaving care.
- Many have additional problems such as learning difficulties and mental health issues.
- Each of their residents have a dedicated key worker, who works closely with them to identify their support needs.
- They are supported 24 hours a day, the main house providing a high level of help for young people.
- During their stay, residents learn how to look after themselves and start preparing for life in their own home. Help is given with life skills from self care, cooking and laundry, to literacy, numeracy and budgeting. Their key worker is also there to provide crucial emotional support.
Please help us raise money for such an amazing charity! Every penny will make a difference!
