We are PHCC- Primrose Hill Community Church and we have a group of volunteers from our church who have come together to complete the Summer Wolf Run, a 10k off-road obstacle course, in the hopes of raising money to contribute to our funding applications for our much needed church building repairs. Our volunteers are: John Williams, Ruth Williams, Danielle Doherty, Simon, Stuart Dix, Lauren Burgess, Anna, Chris Bennett, Hayley Ball, Stephen Ball, Chris Morgan, Natasha White, Natalie Homer, Mitchell Carter, Shane Tolley, Jamie Whitehouse, Daniel Tordoff-Drew.
We have two applications at the moment one for a new roof which we have been paying for isolated repairs when further damage keeps arising causing health and safety risks and the other is for a new drainage system and toilets. All funders require we raise a certain percentage ourselves to even be able to apply for funding, so we are asking if you could please sponsor us.
PHCC is a Group of Christians in Netherton, seeking to experience, communicate and demonstrate the love of God in our community. PHCC is not only a place of worship, it also largely serves its community. Situated in Netherton, Dudley the church has a long heritage founded in 1853!!
How we serve our community;
Mondays – Tutor Group - private hire
• Tuesdays- Dance for Health (Seniors) – private hire, Temple Martial Arts (Kickboxing classes) – private hire
• Wednesdays- Netherton Foodbank which is all volunteer ran in conjunction with Black Country Foodbank, Netherton Foodbank supports 380 people weekly, we also have a clothing bank along with other donations for people in need. Places of Welcome/Warm Spaces runs at the same time, where anyone in the community can come for a free hot drink and a chat
• Thursdays- Youth and Young Adults-YAYA (15-25 year olds)
• Friday- POP- Parents of Preschoolers, Fun Club (5-11 year olds) & Revo- Youth Club (11-17 year olds)
We also run an internship program which equips individuals, particularly young people leaving school, with the skills to thrive in the workplace and lead from a place of service. Spanning 1 to 3 years, the program offers structured teaching, hands-on experience across various church teams, and personalised leadership development. Interns gain valuable skills in communication, time management, and ministry work, while being mentored by experienced church leaders. Though in its first year, the program has already helped interns build professional networks, improve employability, and start their own youth-led worship collective. Success is measured through personal growth and the achievement of individual goals.
We love serving our community but we do have very urgent building needs that we need to resolve in order to keep be able to do this.
We thank you in advance for helping us to reach our goal no matter how big or small the donation.
