Chuck's Health Journey: A Daughter's Plea

If you know anything about my dad “Chuck Pursley”, then you know he is the definition of what it means to be a good man. Strong yet so gentle. Over the last couple of years, I have watched him decline drastically. He “retired” early after finding out he has advanced liver disease. He quit his job and applied for disability November 15th, 2024. 6 months later and still no answer. He is running out of funds and I can tell it is causing him depression, on top of his poor health. He cannot even get insurance until his disability is approved. He tried every other method, but it was all a dead end. He would NEVER tell me- but I can see the defeat in his eyes and hear it in his voice. I am a daddy’s girl through and through. My resilience came from him. He’s running low on funds, worried about his future, and can only afford to go see a doctor to get his medicines refilled- but he really needs updated labs and another visit back at Vanderbilt. My personal opinion is that he’s looking jaundice and it’s time to get him on the transplant list but he cannot afford to go back at this time.
my dad is someone who quite literally would (and HAS) given the shirt off his back to a stranger. He’s the only one who drives 4 hours to help shuffle kids… sometimes 8 when it’s a round trip. He NEVER asks for help and he would be astounded if he knew I was setting this up for him. My dad is only 61 and I really need as many years with him as I possibly can. He has lived a life COMPLETELY for others, and NEVER himself. There is quite literally no one more deserving than him.
my goal is to SECRETLY raise money for him. I don’t necessarily have a goal- however I’d raise him all the money in the world if I could. I would then “anonymously” give this money to him and pretend like I have zero role in it and that I am as shocked as him when he gets it.
it would be used for groceries, maybe even some clean pre made meals for him so that he doesn’t have to worry about cooking and can take that stress off of him (as eating right is essential for his liver health), and certainly used to get him back into the doctor, maybe even pay some bills or hire a cleaner who could come help him clean his home. Honestly so many things I can think of that he deserves!!!!!!
please help me help my dad get some relief and to bring the light back into his eyes
