An Lac Temple is a non-profit organization established and situated in Lincoln, Nebraska since 1993. The mission of the Temple is to serve the Buddhist Community in and around the Lincoln area. Because of the community nature of the Temple, an election takes place every 4 years to choose the Board of Executives members who will lead the Temple for 4 years. As of October 20th, 2024, an election took place and a new Board of Executives was chosen. However, the incumbent Board of Executives, who has served the Temple for 3 consecutive terms, decided not to honor the election result. To keep the Temple for themselves, they rely on many non-physical violence measures to scare off the new Board of Executive members. They also declared that the Temple now belongs to them and no longer to the Buddhist Community of Lincoln. In order to take the Temple back and return to the community and to ward these violence offenders off the Temple, the elected Board of Executives member would like to use legal services. However, our fund is limited. Thus, we are asking for donations for this legal fight. We guarantee that every dollar donated will go to pay for legal expenses and the remaining, if there is any, will go to the Temple.
