Christopher and Shawna's Path to Recovery and Home

Former business owner and well known sub contractor of New England Dry wall Christopher Gonzales that had been featured in the Portland Press Hearald for his talent for remodeling the Portland Mill apartments.

Christopher was a very functionable member of society till he became diagnosed with a severe form of schizophrenia later in life, which dramatically declined his ability to function after becoming affected by mental illness. And the lack of support and programs to help people with mental illness. Christopher has had a dramatic decline and ability for everyday life skills, which has caused him to become homeless. Monday January 6th, after 11 PM. An explosion with a propane heater caused Christopher and his Fiance's tent to become engulfed in flames which caused the couple to become severely burned and rushed to Portland Medical. The family is asking for support with funding for medical bills and to help with housing. They are looking at being in the hospital for multiple months and alot of rehab based on the severity of the burns.
