Recovery Expenses-Another Car Ran a Red Light

Donation protected
I am Felicia, and I am creating this fundraiser for my 23 year old son, Christopher Packer Jr.
On Sunday, April 14th, 2024, he was riding his motorcycle on Shore Drive when a car came out of a neighborhood directly into his path. Police report pending, we have been told by witnesses that Christopher was going the speed limit and had the right of way (green light as he came through the intersection).
According to what one witness shared, he was thrown approximately 8-9 feet in the air and lost consciousness. (Further details are tough to repeat, and even that is a hard one to fathom)
His sister Anne-Marie had an instinctive feeling that something was wrong that day and found out that he’d just been brought into the emergency room, before Christopher was even alert enough to give the nurse my phone number.
Christopher was left with a broken pelvis, an injury to his pelvis separate from the fracture, both bones in his left forearm were broken, a broken nose, and a broken left foot. He has been in the operating room 3 times, and he will go back again next week for a skin graft to his left arm.
He will come home tomorrow and stay with us in Chesapeake until he’s independent enough to return to his life in North Carolina.
Any funds raised will go directly to him so that he can continue to pay his bills during his recovery.
He is still unable to walk or bear any weight on his left side. He is able to put weight on his right leg for transfers only (like wheelchair to bed, or to the toilet.
He is not able to transfer by himself yet, so he requires someone with him at all times.
once he is allowed to start putting pressure on his left leg again, he will still need continued physical and occupational therapy.
He still has to follow up with a trauma ortho doctor, a plastic surgeon, and a podiatrist.
At home he will have a ramp, hemi walker, wheelchair, transport wheelchair, and raised toilet seat, along with supplies to change the dressings on his forearm (he has approx 11x5 wound that will get a graft next week)

Before the accident, he spent his time working for a tinting business, volunteering with the local fire department, riding his Yamaha MT 10 with his new friends, hitting up local food dives, finding thrift stores, going to amusement parks, and staying in touch with his BIG family.
