ChristmasGive - Help Us Feed 50 Families in Need

In the last several years theREACHcentre has seen the need for food security rise in our community. This is not only an issue for low-income families but families from all walks of life are finding it more difficult to feed their families.

At theREACHcentre one of our goals is to support the Caldwell Community in Ottawa. This community is heavily populated with disadvantaged families and at-risk youth looking for a safe environment and healthy meals. Caldwell is home to a diverse range of cultures including new Canadians from Asian, African, European and Middle Eastern communities.

I would like to invite you to become an official supporter/sponsor of our Christmas Gift Card Initiative. This Christmas, we would like to provide 50 families with $250 worth of grocery store gift cards to help facilitate a healthy Christmas meal.

On Thursday, December 22, 2022, we will be distributing these gift cards to families in need from 6pm – 8pm at 1485 Laperriere Avenue. All the proceeds given will be going directly to families in need.

To make this initiative a success, we rely on the generosity of individuals and goodwill of local businesses for much needed support. We would very much appreciate any donation you or your business could give. For any gift provided we would be more than pleased to furnish you with a charitable tax receipt.

theREACHcentre is a registered charitable and not-for-profit organization located in Ottawa, Canada, with a mission to reach without borders within our local communities and ultimately across the nation of Canada. Locally, theREACHcentre has touched the lives of thousands from various social and ethnic backgrounds within the Ottawa Area and continues to reach out to and affect areas within the community such as politics, education, media and technology.

We have done numerous activities in 2022 for families in the Caldwell community such as our Back in Class Initiative where we provided over 200 kids with backpacks and school supplies! We believe that keeping our kids educated and providing them with the tools that they need to succeed is essential for our community to thrive.
