Christmas Donations: Foodbanks, Homeless Packages & Toys

Christmas can be a tough time for many people, including those who are homeless, recently bereaved, lonely or struggling to make ends meet. In December last year, we managed to deliver food to 4 different food backs around North London, we delivered food, sleeping bags, blankets, thermal hats, scarfs and toiletries to the homeless in central London - also providing hot drinks. Furthermore, we donated over 100 Toys/Gifts to families in desperate need (families living in poverty, families escaping domestic abuse, refugees, asylum seekers and victims of modern slavery and human trafficking).

Every year gets harder for everyone around Christmas time, and we witnessed this first hand in our deliveries and talking to families. Thankfully, through your donations, we were able to cover our biggest scale yet and hopefully made a difference to someone during the cold festivities.

This year we want to maximise our reach even further: helping even more people who are struggling in these tough conditions and climate.

With your donations, we will be purchasing , gloves, scarves, essential toiletries, children's gifts and food items to help make a difference. We will be distributing these on December 14th once again.

This year we have 3 commitments:

1. Food Banks: we are in connection with 4 local food banks, as we have built a relationship with them over the past few years. We are in contact with them to understand what food items they are running low on, and volunteer with any packing. We purchase essential household items, but also Branded goods so families can feel some element of ‘specialness’ over Christmas.

2. Care packages for the homeless: we create packages and distribute them around to the homeless in the streets of London. These care packages include sleeping bags, hand warmers, toiletries etc. We alsoprovide the homeless with hot drinks.

3. Toy Donation: we will be donating toys to children at the Evelina Children's hospital, who will be spending the Christmas period in care.
