Christmas Wish: Help a Family in Need Stay on the Road
Donation protected
Dear friends, family, and compassionate supporters,
This Christmas season, I’m reaching out on behalf of a hardworking family of four who could use some extra love and support. They are facing significant transportation challenges that threaten their ability to meet essential needs.
The husband, a devoted father and former pastor, is disabled and requires frequent doctor’s visits to manage his health. His wife, the sole income earner, is doing everything she can to keep the family afloat while caring for him and their two children. Reliable transportation is critical for them to run their family business, medical appointments (which they have 11 scheduled appointments before Christmas including 2 IME’s for Disability and a long distance appointment for a new orthopedic surgeon), and school.
Here’s what they need right now:
1. $400 to officially diagnose their current vehicle and determine if it qualifies for a warranty-covered engine rebuild (a potential $6k cost). It is a requirement to diagnose at the dealership in order to see if warranty still applies, upon which the diagnosis fee would be covered under warranty if the damages are covered under warranty. Their current vehicle is only at 70,000 miles and they still have payments on their auto loan for another 2 years so it is necessary to repair instead of replace.
2. $3,000 to purchase a temporary vehicle to bridge the gap until February when their tax return will allow for costs of repairs (upwards of $6k) if the vehicle is not covered under warranty. This temporary vehicle will later be passed down to their son, who turns 16 in March, helping him get a safe start on the road.
This family isn’t asking for luxuries—just the basic ability to keep moving forward during this difficult time. Your kindness and generosity can help ease their burden and ensure they have the transportation they need to get through the holidays and beyond.
Every dollar counts, and your support will make a lasting impact on their lives. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this campaign with others who might be able to help would mean the world.
Let’s come together this Christmas to show them they’re not alone. Thank you for being part of their story.
