My name is Luis Chica, I retired from the US.Army last year and this year I'm helping an amazing organization in Pereira, Colombia to raise money to buy poverty-stricken children Christmas presents and help their families in need. The kids are all primary school age and the presents they get from the us will be the only gifts they receive this Christmas.

We are looking to raise $1.500 USD so that we can buy a small gift for each of the 155 children. If you are able to give a donation to put a smile on the face of these children and families, I would really appreciate.

The gifts will all be bought from a local toy shop and sourced directly by a group of volunteers. Our volunteers will then wrap the gifts by hand before arranging a small Christmas party with snacks for the kids .

This is the third year the organization is doing this and the children who received a present from Santa last year are still talking about it. The gifts they received are their prized possession so the impact is just immense.

Christmas is here and everyone especially children love this season, no matter where they live or what traditions they celebrate. We believe that every child deserves a gift during the Christmas season, especially children with limited resources. These poor children and families have been severely affected by the heavy rains in Colombia, the economic crisis and the still recovering from the pandemic.
