Our Story

Hello, and thank you for visiting our page!

We are MyGreenGene CIC, a community-focused organisation right here in Manchester, and we are so excited to bring our dream to life: Christmas Made in Naija 2025!

This won't be just another Christmas event. It will be a vibrant, family-friendly festival on 19th December 2025 at The LightHouse Centre in Salford, showcasing the rich colours, infectious music, and warm, welcoming spirit of a Nigerian Christmas. Our goal is simple but powerful: to bring our whole community together to share joy, foster peace, and build stronger connections.

This event is FREE for everyone because we believe that the magic of Christmas and the beauty of community should be accessible to all, especially in these challenging times.

What Will Your Support Create?

Imagine an evening where:

• Children’s faces light up meeting our majestic African Father Christmas and receiving a small gift.

• The air is filled with the incredible sounds of our main choir, Femi Precious and Friends.

• The community gathers for heartfelt, multicultural Christmas readings.

• Everyone can explore the Africa Village Market, supporting local small businesses and artisans.

This is the beautiful, unifying experience we want to create for Manchester.

Where Will Your Money Go?

To make this magical night happen for thousands of people, we need your help. Every single pound makes a difference and will go directly towards:

• £1,500 - Venue Hire & Essentials: Securing The LightHouse Centre for a safe and fantastic event.

• £1,000 - The African Father Christmas Grotto: Providing gifts for hundreds of children to ensure no little one misses out.

• £2200 - Supporting Our Artists: Fairly paying our wonderful local performers, choir, and technicians.

• £500 - Event Logistics & Safety: From decorations to create a festive atmosphere to essential security and first aid.

• £400 - Marketing & Promotion: Spreading the word far and wide so everyone in Manchester knows they are invited.
