Christmas for kids in El Salvador

Our dear nanny, Rosa, is the most generous person I know. She grew up in El Salvador, works SEVEN days a week (you read that right, seven. Only 5 are at our house, but she has another job too). And, spends most of her money helping others: her son, sending money to her mom back in El Salvador, and every year she saves her money to do something nice for the poorest of the poor back home. 

This year she's really outdoing herself. She's planning a huge party for kids in El Salvador who have nothing. She's saved her money, had two garage sales from which all of the proceeds are going to this event, and has donations from a ton of her friends (who are also nannies). And, you can help her to make this holiday season extra special for these kids who otherwise would have no celebration at all. 

The money donated will be used to buy Christmas gifts for the kids: Trucks, dolls, and pinatas. And food and drinks for the celebration. 

I often think about the privilege it is to have been born into the life that I was. And, if you're a friend of mine and reading this, I'm sure you do too. As Rosa helps to take care of my kids here in America every day, I know she thinks of kids back home who would be thrilled to have just ONE toy. Just ONE candy. Just one special Christmas. And this is our chance to help her make it happen!
