Christmas for Incarcerated Individuals

Hello everyone,
This fundraiser hopes to provide warm clothing and gifts for the individuals currently incarcerated in the Washtenaw County Jail, which is located in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Typically, a non-profit that is associated with the facility has a yearly in-person banquet in order to fundraise for gifts. But COVID-19 has unfortunately hindered those efforts.
It's important to note that a lot of the incarcerated individuals will not have the money they need to order certain items for themselves. Specifically, vendors associated with jails often have gross and predatory prices for items essential to institutionalized living -- like toiletries, long johns, ramen noodles, stamps, holiday cards, and so forth. Consequently, any money donated will NOT be given to the jail directly. Rather, the proceeds will be used to order bulk items externally directly to the jail's Chaplain, and will be distributed throughout the remainder of the holiday season.
