Christmas for Children INC

Christmas for Children is a sister corporation registered as a 501(C)(3) charitable organization that is philanthropic serving at Christmas and throughout the year.  The Orange County School Social workers closely coordinate and assist with our Club to select the needy families during the Holiday season. Christmas is a special holiday in which every family deserves to be a part of, sharing the joy, festivity, and beauty of the occasion. Each year we average around 20-25 families with 70-80 children in all. Families are given $100 gift cards to Publix, new comfortable clothing, exciting new toys, and a brand new smile for a joyous new reason. No matter the season or the reason, we are overjoyed at the prospect of helping any family we can. We gain our donations by selling gorgeous poinsettias annually, raising the money to be able to gift towards children and their families. With this money we fund-raise, we gift toys, hand out gift cards from Publix, and assist the families with clothes shopping. 15-18 families are scheduled in time slots during the day of the event, usually on a Friday morning before the Holiday break from school. In 2018, we helped over 16 families and 50 children for an expenditure of approximately $8,000. Over 40 people are involved at various stages to make this possible. We made around $9,000 this year selling 747 poinsettias. Our wives who assist each family received most the heart-felt appreciation, hugs, and tears! We could not be happier with this year's turn-out and are looking forward to another year, even more successful than the last. Donations are ALWAYS welcome!
