Christmas for an Orphanage in Peru

Hi! I'm Jessie and I'm headed to Peru for the month of December to provide care services to children in an orphanage and the NICU of a local hospital. I have been feeling the desire to get outside my sphere and help others that may be in different circumstances.
The orphanage is located in a small village just outside of Ollantaytambo, Peru in what's called the Sacred Valley️. My uncle spent a few months helping this orphanage years ago and has connected with me with their current leaders.
Some of my time will also be spent in Cuzco serving in the local hospital by providing care packages to families with children in the NICU.
My goal is to raise $3500. Here's the cost breakdown:
- We want each kid at the orphanage to get an outfit, a book, and a toy for Christmas. This will be about $150 USD per child. 15 x $150 USD = $2,250 USD
- We will put on an incredible Christmas dinner. $500-$600 USD
- Some gifts for those running and working at the orphanage. $250 USD
- NICU care packages for those families with babies in the NICU over Christmas and the holidays. $500+. Any extra funds raised will also be added to this effort as well.
None of these funds will be used for my expenses❌. I am not going with a volunteer organization, just as an individual wanting to share some of my joy and happiness.
