You can make a difference by donating today to Buyebe Community Care Initiative in Iganga, Uganda.
We are African Rising Initiative (ARI), a US-based 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to empowering African communities through projects focused on education, sustainable agriculture, women's empowerment, and self-sufficiency. We secure funding for projects in multiple African nations, partnering with existing Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) to create sustainable impact.
We are raising funds to support food security for our partner community-based organization Buyebe Community Care Initiative in rural Uganda. Buyebe provides essential support including food, shelter, and life-saving medicine to vulnerable children and widows in their community. Their mission is to make a lasting impact on the lives of those in need, ensuring their well-being and security through compassionate care and sustainable solutions.
Buyebe is raising money to help with basic needs of the orphans and widows they serve. Of greatest need is food. Currently, it costs $1,144usd a month to feed the community. In order to provide more food security and longevity, Buyebe, with the assistance of ARI, does farming to provide a source of not only food, but also income through sales. It costs $3,283usd a year to maintain the farm. This includes expense for:
- Land Renting
- Land Clearing / Plowing
- Fertilizers
- Seeds (beans, corn, cabbage)
- Labor
- Security Guard
- Transport
- Pesticides / Insecticides
The total annual budget for food and farming is $17,011usd. The hope is to raise enough money for the year to provide food to the orphans/widows while allowing time for their farming project to grow and lead them down the path of becoming more self-sufficient.
Proceeds from this fundraiser will go directly to Buyebe for these initiatives. Please help us provide hope and food security for these orphans and widows.
