Hello everyone,

Over the past few days, I’ve seen many requests for support — all for meaningful and important causes. I know many of you are already giving in different ways.

I still felt called to share this initiative because even the smallest contribution can make a real difference.

What started as a Christmas gesture over the past few years opened our eyes to a deeper reality — for many families, the struggle to put food on the table doesn’t end after the holidays. It’s something they face every single day.

We felt called not to stop.

We are now continuing this effort, providing consistent, dignified food support to families who truly depend on it.

If this resonates with you, I invite you to be part of this journey.
Even a small monthly contribution — or a one-time donation — can help ensure that a child eats, that a mother worries a little less, and that a family feels supported and not forgotten.

You truly can make a meaningful difference in a family’s life.
100% of all donations go directly toward food baskets and breakfasts.

Thank you so much for your generosity and support.

Hello,

I am reaching out to ask for help! Every little bit counts.

The idea is to do a Christmas Basket Brigade in collaboration with the Xalteva Church in Granada, Nicaragua.

I have organized Basket Brigades in Toronto for the last 12-13 years, these campaigns bring not only a holiday meal to families in need but joy, hope and the message that they are cared for.

Nicaragua is the second poorest country in Latin America. Our beautiful colonial city of Granada was growing for a few years due to tourism. As of March 2020, Granada started to suffer tremendously due to loss of tourism and the increased unemployment; restaurants and small hotels closed down, people who were already struggling financially, fell under even deeper poverty.

The Xalteva Church, covers 9 communities ("barrios") where there are hundreds of people in need. When I was in Nicaragua earlier this year, I listened to the church's request asking people to bring even small amounts of food to share with those who have nothing.

So far we have raised funds for approximately 150 baskets, the average cost of a basket will be $25 US / approx. $30 CAN. the more we raise, the more families that can receive a Christmas dinner.

Since we are not able to provide tax receipts valid in USA or Canada, we will share pictures and a letter from the Church confirming the number of baskets distributed. We will keep all receipts with details about the shopping for food should any donors wish to see them. 100% of the money (minus the GoFund Me fee of 2.9%) will go towards the baskets.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!
