Christie and Thomson Family

It is with deep sadness and sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Randy Christie at 45 years old. Randy was beloved father to Brook and Dean Christie and partner to Maureen Thomson. Maureen is well loved in the community by the patrons she has served over the years at establishments such as Sunset Grill, Stacked Pancake House, Wimpy’s and Papa Joe’s Griddle House. Along with heartbreak the Christie / Thomson family will also have to deal with the unexpected costs of funeral expenses. As well, as navigating the loss of income that comes with losing a family member.

As we grieve this unimaginable loss, we are coming together to support his family during this incredibly difficult time. The road ahead will be challenging for Maureen as she navigates life without her soul mate and raises their two young children. We want to be able to ease the financial burden they now face, ensuring that the children have the resources they need to thrive. This will allow the family to focus on healing and honoring Randy’s memory.

The Go Fund will provide the family essential support for funeral expenses, childcare, education and day to day needs. Every contribution no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference. As well as show this family that they are not alone in their grief.
