Christian's Eagle Project: Picnic Table and Kits for APC

Hi everyone, I’m excited to be partnering with Alameda Point Collaborative (APC) which provides permanent housing to over 500 homeless families, primarily women and children. The Teen Center is a service provided by APC carving out a space dedicated to Teens that organizes activities and outings.

I first learned about the Teen Center while volunteering as a mentor to introduce teens there to the sport of fencing. I had a lot of fun and I got to see all the potential and ability of the kids there. I thought working with APC’s Teen center would be a great opportunity to give back to the community.

I am inspired to make a significant contribution to the Teen Center and APC as part of my Eagle Scout Service Project. I plan to build furniture for the center’s outdoor field where the teens tend to congregate, assemble hygiene kits for distribution, as well as raise funds for APC and the Teen Center.
