Hi y'all, my name is Peggy Wood and I am here to ask for assistance for some very dear friends of mine that have been hit with a double whammy of health problems. Christel & Michael Reel chased their dream and moved from Kentucky back to Christel's hometown of Smithville, TN to be closer to family and raise her great nephew Colton, whom they have custody of.

They bought 16 acres of land where Michael could train and break horses and Christel worked in Insurance claims as she has for 20 years.

In December 2024 Christel found a large lump in her breast and was diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma with medullary features ...... Breast Cancer. Doctors started aggressively treating her cancer in January 2025. She has been battling many side effects from the chemo treatments but still managing to work on top of fighting the depression caused by the diagnosis. Then, in April, Mike had a stroke and had to by air lifted to Vanderbilt, while in flight he suffered a heart attack. Mike was on a ventilator for a few days and spent several weeks in the hospital and then in rehab. He has some partial paralysis on his right side but is getting better. He was having pains again recently and went back to Vanderbilt where they believe he had another stroke.

Due to his congestive heart failure, speech issues and a large blood clot inside his heart, he can no longer work.

Christel is ending her treatment and may soon be looking at surgery.

They are strong in their Christian faith and know that they can overcome any mountain with the Lord and pray that His will be done in their lives but right now things are getting very, very difficult and the medical bills are stacking up.
