Christa Hunt is a 15 month old baby who was shaken at 3 months old. She has had several issues afterwards including brain damage, blindness, gastroparesis, and many therapies and hospital visits. 
Yesterday Christa had an emergency surgery, due to an infection in her intestines, that she was not expected to live through.
Christa survived, and is expected to be in the hospital for at least a few weeks, which is now looking more like 6-8 weeks minimum,  if everything goes as planned.
Shes currently on life support in the PICU.
Her mother is a single mother who works part time to provide for herself and children. 
She is having to miss work because this was very unexpected.
