I'm Christa Horst and God has opened the door for me to go back to Kenya for a 3rd time this May! In less than 3 months, I will be taking at least one other person, if not more, on a life-changing, life-giving trip to the other side of the world!
While I'm blessed that my husband and I are paying for this trip ourselves, I'm hoping, like in years past, that I can raise funds that I can use for various projects and needs that I come across when I am there! The needs are everywhere there. In year's passed, with the money I've raised prior to my trip we were able to build TWO wells! I was able to purchase clothing for children who were wearing rags. We removed jiggers (parasites in children's feet due to lack of shoes). We were able to purchase shoes for almost an entire school! We fed school children who only eat one meal a day. We purchased school supplies like chalk for the teachers and students so they can write on the chalkboards and not in the dirt on the ground for their schooling. We've paid for medical treatment of children and adult that were in need when I was there. And much much more!
These funds I'm raising are in addition to the orphan program and wells that Amore Ministries handles so I know I'm asking a lot of my friends and family who have already given so much. But, I'm hopeful that if many of my friends sacrificed a lunch out one time, then we could easily have the funds available for when I'm there to BE then hands and feeet of Jesus to the least of these!
I'm forever grateful and honored that so many have supported me in the past and hope and pray that through you all we can continue to make a difference in the lives of others.
