Greenwood Lake, NY's Appreciation For Chris Vanvooren Chris desperately needs a new truck for work and commuting locally. Let’s show our appreciation for Chris Vanvooren – one of the biggest hearts in our community.  Chris faithfully donates his time and talents to make Greenwood Lake a better place for all its residents and visitors.  He has a big heart but an empty bank account and his truck broke down several weeks ago.  Chris uses his truck for commuting to work and to help out the community.  It is an extension of him and he cannot do all his good deeds without it. Over the past couple of years, Chris has tirelessly given back to the Greenwood Lake community. ·       Chris donates his time to manage the teen center and supervisors its operation on Wednesday afternoons and evenings.  By the way, Chris has no children of his own. He dedicates his time to pay it forward for all the good thing people in his life have done for him. ·       Chris runs an annual free fishing day on Greenwood Lake. ·       Chris participates in the Clean the Lake day in May. ·       Chris sites on the Board of the Greenwood Lake Skatepark, a non-paid position for a non-profit, who’s mission is to build a skatepark in the community in the memory of one of its own.  He works to generate donations and staff events. ·       Chris is a Greenwood Lake Chamber of Commerce Board Member and works endlessly at events and on projects to promote commerce in our town. ·       Chris co-hosts the Greenwood Lake Radio Show and does his best to make sure everyone knows about our local businesses. ·       He donates his artwork to tricky trays and auctions to raise funds for the boy scouts, elks club and many other local organizations. ·       And many, many other selfless acts to better our community. Let’s pitch in together and fund the necessary repairs to get Chris’ truck running again so he can get back on the road doing all the wonderful things that he does.
