Chicago Heights Police Officers are growing BEARDS again in a collaborative effort to raise awareness for children in need and to support local families. In 2016, for the first time in police department history, Chief Rogers allowed CHPD officers to grow BEARDS with the agreement that it had to be for a great cause. During that winter, Chicago Heights Police Officers grew BEARDS, raised money internally and donated all the proceeds to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. This year, officers are going to grow BEARDS to bring attention to two great fundraising causes:
• Officers are asking for donations of unwrapped Christmas presents to distribute to disadvantaged children during the holiday season; and,
• Officers are raising funds and requesting financial contributions in support of Lurie Children’s Hospital in Chicago, Illinois.
Your charitable contribution at any level will support a great institution, with all proceeds being donated to Lurie Children’s Hospital. Our goal is to make this a brighter holiday season by collecting toys for some of our local children and families who may need a little help during the holidays, and providing a financial contribution to Lurie Children’s Hospital in support of their service in providing medical care for children – regardless of a family’s ability to pay. We are asking for EVERYONE’s help for these two great causes!
We thank you for your support! CHICAGO HEIGHTS POLICE DEPARTMENT
