About Me & My Journey

Hello there, my name is Caira,

I am overjoyed to share that I will soon be a first-time mother to twins, a boy and a girl due in May 2025! Since I was a child, I've dreamed of becoming a mother --nurturing, loving and guiding little souls as they grow. Now, that dream is becoming a reality, and even with the challenges, I am beyond thrilled to welcome my two little sugar buns in the world.

However, this journey has not been without its challenges. The day I found out I was pregnant; the father of my twins chose not to be involved at all. Since then, I have been navigating this path mostly with my Creator and myself. At first, I was embarrassed of the idea for a GoFundMe, but I overstand my ego should not be a factor in creating sustainability for myself and my new family. Despite the difficulties, I’ve found a strength within myself that I know only comes from The Most High, guiding me through this incredible mission of motherhood that I have been divinely assigned.

Without nearby family or much friends for support, I am leaning on faith, resilience, and the kindness of my loving community to help prepare for this new chapter of my life.

I fully take accountability for the choices that lead me here. I want to use my experience to speak to young people about making intentional decisions when it comes to intimacy and self-preservation. Too many children grow up in broken homes, and it's time we break the chains of these cycles - STARTING WITH US AS PARENTS.

Why I’m Asking for Help

For over 15 years, I’ve worked in various roles dedicated to children and young people. I’ve been a substitute teacher for students from Pre-K to 12th grade, a behavioral and addiction counselor for young women going through behavioral and addiction treatment, an advocate in the medicinal health food industry, and an ABA therapist supporting children and young adults on the autism spectrum from ages 3 to 22.

Out of all these roles, becoming a mother to my own children is my greatest honor. However, preparing for twins as a single mom without close support is extremely overwhelming.

I am raising funds to cover essential baby items, postpartum care, living expenses, and a small emergency fund to ensure my babies have the best possible start in their lives. Your contributions will allow me to focus on recovery after giving birth, bonding with my son and my daughter, and creating a stable, maintain a loving and nurturing environment for them, where I can be more present; and can better focus on their growth and development.

How Your Support Will Be Used

Your contributions will help provide for the following essential needs:

Postpartum Care: If able, a facility and additional healing aids for recovery, including herbs and nourishing food, to help me recover mentally, spiritually, emotionally, and physically while I adjust to motherhood.

Baby Essentials for 2: Diapers, wipes, bottles, clothes, educational toys and programs, lactation support, bottle sterilizer, and other items I will discover as I navigate through motherhood.

Living Expenses: Transportation, nutritious food, and essential living expenses to ensure a healthy environment for my twins and myself.

Emergency Fund: For unexpected needs for the twins during this journey.

From My Heart to Yours

Despite the father’s absence—he has blocked me on everything—I am choosing purpose, joy, and resilience over fear, anger, and resentment. My focus is on becoming the best mother I can be, putting pride and ego aside to ask for support through this GoFundMe.

Every dollar, share, comment, and kind word bring me closer to creating an even stronger foundation for my babies. Despite the challenges, I am embracing this journey with faith, gratitude, and determination.

Together, we can build the village my children deserve, while creating a safe space to have real and honest conversation about our broken homes as COMMUNITIES. I pray we can break the chains NOW. Starting with us as PARENTS!
