Chorley Three Peaks in memory of Liam Bracken

Donation protected

As many of you may already know, Liam Bracken tragically lost his life in a car accident on 22nd September 2025, at just 17 years old. The incident took place on Jackson Heights Road—a stretch of road that many local people will recognise as particularly dangerous. The dip where Liam’s accident occurred has long been associated with frequent collisions, with visible damage to the road surface and debris often left at the roadside.

In memory of Liam, his family are determined to turn their grief into something positive. They are raising funds to help improve safety on this stretch of road, in the hope that no other family has to endure such a heartbreaking loss. Despite reaching out to the local council, they have unfortunately been told that no action will be taken at this time.

With this in mind, I am organising a fundraising event and would love your support. We will be taking on the Chorley Three Peaks Challenge on 4th July 2026 and anyone who would like to join us is warmly invited. To take part, we simply ask for a minimum donation of £10. We will start from The Yew Tree, Anglezarke and then following the walk we will stop off at Rivington Brewing Co. where Phil has welcomed us all to raise a glass to Liam.

If you’re unable to attend, please consider sharing the GoFundMe page or making a donation—every contribution, no matter how small, is truly appreciated.
