Hi my name is Greg, My family and I are fundraising to help save my father’s home.
Unfortunately he had flooding issues in April and had contacted the insurance company right away. The insurance company told him they would send someone out to look it over the following week… fast forward to august when they finally showed up mold had then began growing and infected the entire basement. He has contacted a restoration company to assess the cost of cleaning it up with a shocking bill coming out just under $50,000 for it to be considered safe enough to live in. With the insurance company not willing to help him cover this bill due to the circumstances of this being a sump pump issue they will only cover a very small portion of the restoration bill. Unfortunately they won’t even start working on his home until he has 50% of the cost upfront which is why we have started this page in hopes to help him financially as he has no way to pay the remaining balance.
Not only has this mold taken over his home but it’s also made him sick which has led to multiple trips to the hospital and doctor causing him to miss lots of work. As you can imagine it makes it that much harder to afford a high and unavoidable bill like this one.
It’s heartbreaking knowing this is our last chance to save his home. This man has worked hard his entire life, he has been thrown every curve ball you could imagine and has always been there helping everyone and anyone he could.
