Chiropractic Mexico Service Trip

Hey Friends and Family,

Thanks for taking your time to check out what I’ve been up to. As some of you may know, pursuing a profession in the health care field has always been my dream ever since I was a teenager. Finally, I am here at Life Chiropractic College West to pursue my life’s passion. I am currently a 6th quarter student, and it blows my mind every time I think of how much I’ve learned and grown in the past year and a half at school here. I know I am in the right path when I can’t think of any other profession I would rather be doing. Chiropractic aligns with all my values and beliefs, and I am beyond grateful that my family has been able to support me on this career path. It excites me that I’m going to be doing this for the rest of my life – being able to help others heal.

On March 27, I will be going on my first chiropractic service trip to Ensenada in Mexico with Vitalistic Masters, an organization that is led by Dr. Sukhi Muker. I will be volunteering there for 6 days to provide chiropractic care to all the people in Ensenada. I will be working alongside many other chiropractic students and doctors from all over the world to serve this wonderful community. After a year and half of intense training in my adjusting and diagnostic skills, and the countless hours of academic classes, I firmly believe that I have the ability to help people heal through chiropractic care. Not only will this trip benefit the health of the Ensenada community, but I know for a fact that I will be experiencing an immense amount of personal growth to become the best doctor that I can be.

What really is Chiropractic? Chiropractic does the job of aligning the spine and removing nerve interferences between the brain/spinal cord and your body (i.e. muscle and organ function). This allows the body to function at its optimal level and heal at its best ability. Through my personal experience, I used to suffer with asthma until I started chiropractic care when I was 18. I struggled with physical activity growing up because I had to rely on my inhaler. After being adjusted regularly, I realized my body was going through some serious changes. Structurally, my rib cage started opening up, which helped me breathe better. Physiologically, the adjustments were removing nerve interferences from the misalignments in my spine to increase the communication between my spinal cord nerves and lungs, which allowed my lungs to function at its optimal level. Now, I never have to use my inhaler when I exercise. Better yet, I actually just signed up to do my first half-marathon this year! I don’t think I would be in the physical shape that I am today if it weren’t for the chiropractors that has helped me throughout this journey. I inspire to be like them one day to make that positive impact on someone’s health.

Why do I need your help? In order to make this trip a reality, it requires some money and many of you know how tight the budget can be as a grad student. My goal is to reach $1150 USD, which covers all my expenses for transportation to Mexico, living accommodations, and food. If you feel that it is within your capacity to support this cause, myself and the Ensenada community would greatly appreciate your time and financial support! Your love and support will inspire me to keep learning and growing to become the best doctor that I can be.
