Bull City Votes is a long-standing, grassroots, non-partisan volunteer group of neighbors working to make sure every eligible voter in Durham can cast a vote that counts. We focus on voters most at risk of being left out — including Black and Brown residents, college students, and people facing economic hardship, housing instability, or disabilities. Most rely on public transit, which makes voting harder.
We’re based at the downtown Durham bus station and at NCCU and Duke, meeting voters where they are. In partnership with Durham Drives, we help voters register, understand the ballot, get to the polls — and then on to their next stop.
Local elections matter. They shape our daily lives, and voters deserve support in every election. We’re also preparing for the 2026 midterms by building voter habits, fixing registrations, training volunteers, and improving our systems to meet growing challenges.
We’re scrappy, effective, and we can’t do this without you.
If you believe every voice should be heard and voting rights must be defended, chip in today — and share this campaign far and wide.
