Save the Children of Kivu

In North Kivu and South Kivu, in the east of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, thousands of children are growing up surrounded by armed violence, forced displacement, and constant fear.

Many have lost their parents, their homes, their schools, and the hope of a normal childhood. Every day, children go to sleep hungry, fall ill without access to medical care, and survive in extremely difficult conditions.

Added to this already tragic situation is the resurgence of the Ebola virus disease, which once again threatens the lives and well-being of children in Kivu. Weakened by conflict, malnutrition, and limited access to healthcare facilities, these children are particularly vulnerable to the effects of this outbreak. Fear, isolation, and the lack of medical resources further worsen their suffering and vulnerability.

Behind every face is a painful story: children traumatised by conflict, deprived of education, exposed to hunger, illness, and abandonment. Yet despite the suffering, they continue to dream of a better future. A simple act of solidarity can provide a meal, medicine, warm clothing, or allow a child to return to school and regain their dignity.

Today, we appeal to the humanity and compassion of people around the world. Your contribution, no matter how small, can save a life and restore hope to innocent children who are victims of a war they never chose. Together, let us show that solidarity has no borders and that no child should be forgotten.

The needs are healthcare, food, clothing and education and we will make sure all donations get to where they need to be.

This is an updated campaign and we will be able to provide clearer info on exactly what your donations are able to support once we can feasibly understand rate of funding.

Currently here are some of our projections:
£20 (approximately 67,000 CDF) can provide nutritious meals for one child for nearly three weeks.
£50 (approximately 134,000 CDF) can provide clothing, shoes, and essential hygiene items for two to three children.
£100 (approximately 268,000 CDF) can fund school fees, school supplies, and basic needs for several children for one month, or cover urgent medical care for the most vulnerable children.
£500 (approximately 1529809.82 CDF) can contribute towards communal food supplies, healthcare, and support services for dozens of children for several weeks.
£15,000 (approximately 40,234,500 CDF) would make it possible to open an orphanage, covering essential needs including food, accommodation, water, medical care, education, clothing, and child protection.

All funds will be transferred securely via Wise and used directly to meet the needs of vulnerable children and families in South Kivu.
