Children of Benjamin & Jessica Wintermute Stone

Donation protected
This Go Fund Me is being set up to help with the expenses of care, raising and future educational needs of the four children of Benjamin Avery Stone and Jessica Wintermute Stone, Hennessy age 8, Jameson age 7, Rose age 3 and Faith age 1, who lost their parents on December 29, 2023 as a result of an horrific automobile accident in Montague, CA. My husband, Bill and I, had just concluded a joyous Holiday visit and were on the long drive home to Santa Rosa when we received word that our son and his wife had been killed and the four children were being treated at a local hospital. We returned to Yreka as quickly as possible.
Ben is our only child and his children and stepchildren are precious to us. The two oldest have been a part of our family nearly their whole lives. Hennessy dubbed us PoPo and GoGo.
Ben and Jess have lived in the Yreka/Montague area since about 2017. During that time they built a strong Church family at Siskiyou Christian Fellowship. The children’s faith is helping sustain them and the church family has been an invaluable support for Bill and me as well.
Both Ben and Jess worked for Jefferson Resource Company. Their work family has also been invaluable helping to re-home horses, goats, dogs and chickens.
The two older children, Hennessy and Jaymeson, will be in the care and custody of their father, Donovan, and his wife, Katie. Donovan is a disabled veteran and he, his wife and 3 sweet little girls live in Siskiyou County CA approximately 30 minutes south of Montague. Henna and Jaymo have a good relationship with Donovan, Katie and their 3 little ones. They would very much appreciate any help with the additional expenses they will be incurring.
Bill and I have guardianship of Rose and Faith. Rose is a bouncy, bossy three year old who knows her parents are with God but also wonders when they will be back. Faith turns one in January. While she will have no actual memory of the accident, growing up without parents could be very challenging for her. Right now, though, she is focused on cutting teeth and taking her first steps.
Rose and Faith are moving to Santa Rosa with us, their paternal grandparents. We have a strong support group ourselves, many of whom have been friends since Ben was young and who have watched him grow and mature.
The funds collected by this Fund Raiser will be used to assist in these expenses and the account will be managed and funds dispersed by me. An immediate focus will be on all the children’s mental and emotional health as they deal with the challenges of losing both their parents.
Any donation, in any amount, is greatly appreciated.
Thank you for helping.
