Maribel is a loving mother who was erroneously deported, resulting in her separation from her toddler and two older children. The New York Times recently wrote about her story here. Maribel was recently returned to the U.S. but was immediately placed in ICE detention in Texas, far from her family.
Her children miss their mother very much and are struggling to make ends meet in her absence. They also need to hire a lawyer in Texas to work with their pro bono legal counsel on a case seeking Maribel's release. We are inviting donations to support the children and help with Maribel's legal defense. We have a good connection with the family and will ensure that all funds reach them ASAP.
