Hi, my name is Evelyn, and I’m currently spending 13 weeks volunteering at Timber Nkwanta School in rural eastern Ghana, as part of a childcare programme dedicated to supporting some of the community’s most vulnerable children.

The heart of this programme is simple but extremely important: we provide breakfast and lunch to the youngest 50 children each day. For many of them, these are the only meals they can rely on. By ensuring they are fed, we’re helping them stay in school, focus in class, and feel cared for.

Now in my second week here, I’ve seen firsthand just how much these kids need — and how much of a difference even small donations can make. That’s why I’ve set up this page: for anyone who feels moved to help.

All donations will go directly to supporting the children and school in practical, immediate ways, including:

School supplies – Textbooks and notebooks for children who can’t afford materials for all subjects.

Extra meals – To expand the feeding programme and include more classes.

First aid kits – For treating everyday cuts and illnesses that often go unmanaged.

Sanitary pads – To support young girls who miss school each month due to lack of access.

Footballs and play equipment – to provide some joy for the child ten during breaks and after school.
