MOTHER STRIPPED OF CUSTODY RIGHTS OF HER CHILD!

Hi my name is Stacey and I am a hardworking single mother of the most loving one year old boy. Both my son and I have experienced abuse (physical, verbal, emotional, psychological, and more) from his father which is ongoing, started shortly after the birth of our son, and would become severe when my ex abused alcohol and became intoxicated.




My ex’s mother is currently helping him (my ex) cover up the abuse he’s caused and continues to cause me and our son using the legal system AND they’ve petitioned the court for FULL legal and physical custody of our son while, in the meantime, having been awarded temporary legal and physical custody of our one year old son until our next court date (to address the Domestic Violence, child abuse, and custody issues). Which is set to be heard in court and possibly granted to my ex and his mother in less than a month! 




Meanwhile for the past nearly 5 months, after having done the best I can to protect my now one year old son from abuse, I have only been allowed (via court order) to have 2 HOURS of IN-PERSON SUPERVISED VISITATION with MY SON ONCE A WEEK “as punishment for my actions!.”




Both my ex and his mother are working together with a team of Family Law attorneys against me and my child’s best interests, which include safety.  They’re using my acts of protection as a mother, me fleeing from multiple forms of abuse (manipulation, lying, sexual assault, stalking, obsession, revenge, child abuse, intimidation, physical abuse, verbal abuse, emotional abuse, etc) and staying in a Domestic Violence shelter in another state (to seek safety and help), against me in court as a reason to keep and take away custody of my son. 




The court has granted MY EX and HIS MOTHER  both physical and legal CUSTODY of our son DESPITE my 5+ pages of declarations to the court detailing the horrendous acts of child abuse I witnessed my ex do to our newborn child and myself, especially when my son and I was living with my ex (his father) in his mother’s home. 




My attempts and pleas for help and my requests to keep custody of my son as I seek help (safety and protection) for us have been ignored by the court and legal professionals, who I thought would protect us!




I have been representing myself in court (pro se) for nearly 2 years advocating for my son and myself, despite my son being appointed a minor’s counsel who is supposed to advocate for her client’s (the child’s) best interests but instead only ever advocates for my ex and his wishes as a parent.




Because I am not a lawyer, have no law background, and no legal advice or knowledge, I have been making countless errors during this custody battle, am not being heard in court, and my son’s best interests are NOT considered at court hearings especially when making court orders. Not to mention, who knows what’s happening with my son at his father’s home where NO ONE is there to protect him, monitor his father’s actions with him, and where he lives with his grandmother who witnessed him and his mother (me) get abused and not only said nothing but is now covering up her son’s abuse against us!!!!!




At this point I am facing the reality of losing custody of my son permanently; risking both a relationship and bond with my child, possibly being subjected to pay attorneys fees and other costs that comes along with losing in court and losing custody, and the possibility of not having my temporary restraining order against my ex (son’s father) made final, which would leave both my son and I at a greater risk of harm and danger.




Please help me however you can financially. I have a place for my son and I to live, endless love to give, a safe space for him to grow and thrive, and a job so we can get by. I am now missing the most crucial piece to this battle which is legal representation that I cannot afford on my own.
