Childcare & Hospital Volunteering, Sri Lanka

Hi, my name is Louisa Hunter and I am a student nurse. My lifelong ambition has been to help people and make a positive difference to people's lives. I have been fortunate enough to have the opportunity to take up a volunteer position helping within a hospital & childcare facility in Ambalangoda, Sri Lanka.

I will be going for two weeks in January during my University course down time and wish to help as much as possible during this time.

While I'm over there, I will be volunteering in various medical departments and will also help in the childcare setting, where I will care for young children from the age of one upwards. In this environment i will help to teach English at a level they can understand as well as care for them in a fun and educational way and to provide high-quality patient care.

I hope that as a Nursing Student you might be able to assist me, by making any small contribution that you can towards this ambition i have to travel to Sri Lanka, grow in my vocational skills and to fulfil this desire that i have to help others.

I am aiming to raise £2500 to contribute towards my flights, food, accomodation and living expenses whilst away. I am really looking forwards to this adventure and thank you in advance for your support and contributions x
