Child Loses Both Parents in Fatal Car Crash

Jourdynn Lofton, 5, is the only child to Brandi Phillips and Girvaughn Lofton. On Friday, November 27, 2020, Brandi and Girvaughn were fatally injured together in a car accident in Homewood, Illinois just hours after spending Thanksgiving with their daughter and other family members.
It’s difficult to comprehend the pain children experience losing one parent, let alone both. Jourdynn is suffering an unimaginable loss that no child should ever have to endure. While we pray memories of her parents will remain as she grows, we cannot totally be sure. At only 5 years old, Jourdynn will have to endure life’s journey without the two most important people to her. The immediate families of Brandi and Girvaughn would never ask for help. On their behalf, as the extended family, we’d like to surround Jourdynn with conditions of love and a life free of worry.
