Hi friends, this is a series of several unexpected situations. As most of you know, we absolutely don't accept help well and feel we always will figure it out and take care of it somehow. But things are starting to get to the point where we do need help. We are so sad that an amazing women passed away recently (Ralphs's Mom). She had adopted 2 of her granddaughters and had custody of 2 grandsons. (Ralphs nieces and nephews) These kids have lost all they have known, including their Mother, Father, Grandfather, Great grandmother (which had custody of the boys last year) and now Grandmother all within in 7 years. Ralph and I have taken these 4 amazing, well-mannered, respectful, smart, beautiful children with us . We didn't think twice; we didn't ask questions; we just said they are coming home with us. We could no way let them go through any more than what they have already been through. We knew we could give them a loving home and provide the best we could. But as all the court costs started adding up on top of new clothes, food (lots of food, LOL), setting up bedrooms for our house, on going dental expenses, things started getting to be a lot. The guardianship for the girls is costing us almost $5000, plus $4600 in other legal fees, with no legal help and DCF won't help with their case, because they were legally adopted. (I know very confusing and doesn't make much sense) The transition of us learning each other has put many smiles on our face and our hearts are full. No one would of ever been prepared or expected this situation to happen and we thought we were done with kids (as all 7 of ours are now adults) but God has other plans for us and we are taking it head on. We are just asking for a little help so we can cover some of all these unexpected costs. We truly appreciate everyone that has already reached out and offered anything. Children are 17 boy, 16 girl, 15 girl and 11 year old boy. Thank you for anything and everything.
