Hi I’m Freedom I’m 15 years old and in July 2025 I’ll be joining Projects Abroad volunteering in Nepal in the child care and community program. I will be spending my days at a school helping the children learn in areas like English, maths, sports and arts and crafts. I will also be assisting with renovations at the school.

I look at my time abroad not only as a way to give back but also as a way to gain better insight into the world around me. While I’m in Nepal I will living in shared accommodation with other teens 15-18 year olds. I believe this will be of great value to me and I hope to return with a better understanding of the culture and community in Nepal and the people I interact with.

I choose to volunteer through an organisation called Projects Abroad. Projects Abroad was established in 1992 as a volunteer English teaching program in Eastern Europe and had since grown to offer a wide range of opportunities in volunteering, interning and language instruction at 27 destinations around the World.

As this experience is unpaid, I will incur costs for such things as flights and the Projects Abroad program fee. Any donation even a small amount will get me one step closer to my goal. I’m really excited about this opportunity and I appreciate all of your donations. Thank you for reading.
