Child Abduction Nightmare-Help Robin and her boys
Donation protected
Hello all. My name is Robin Kelly and I am desperately seeking financial support following the international abduction of my two little boys and the 17 month nightmare I endured to bring them home safely to the United States.I am heartbroken and terrified, yet again, of the uncertainties that lay ahead for us.
I spent my entire life savings fighting for my babies after they were taken - in broad daylight - from a private childcare facility at a Holiday Inn Hotel in Indonesia. Darcy was only 11 months old and Alfie just 2 years old at the time of their abduction. While we are finally back home in America, the emotional and financial toll of this ordeal has been devastating. Recovering from this senseless event feels nearly impossible and has left me with little hope.
Anything you can give to help me and my little ones get by over the next few months would be received with immense gratitude . Most importantly I need funds to continue to pursue legal action against IHG - the hotel corporation whose negligence created this horrific situation for me and my children in the first place.
Please help us,
With love and gratitude ~ Robin, Alfie and Darcy

This nightmare began when my breastfeeding 11 month old infant Darcy, and his 2 year old brother Alfie, were abducted in broad daylight, from the private Kid's Club at the Holiday Inn Resort in Baruna, Bali, Indonesia. The Kid's Club was a Holiday Inn Resort childcare facility, where my children and I were registered guests. Prior to dropping the boys off, I signed a Childcare Provider Contract as well as prepaid for this highly recommended hotel service.
As seen on the hotel's CCTV video footage, my two babies were scared and screaming, as they were held like footballs - one under each arm of the abductor - as he raced out of the secure Kid's Club, and through the belly of this huge resort. He then ran through the massive lobby, manned by a bevy of staff and security personnel, and down the long front driveway of the resort property, through a security gate with armed guards - disappearing into oblivion with my children.
Not a single Holiday Inn staff or security member made any attempt to stop this abduction in progress. The hotel failed to alert the Indonesian police. It defies all logic that two babies could be so easily stolen from a private children’s care facility in such an iconic and trusted American hotel chain. The whole reason I chose to stay at this resort with my boys was due to its safe and kid-friendly reputation.
It has taken me almost 2 years, and my entire life savings, not to mention the hundreds of thousands of dollars I've borrowed from friends and family, to recover my babies. Alone and terrified for 17 months, I had to navigate the extremely confusing and complex legal systems of countries that were not my own. Against all odds, after exhausting all resources, I was finally able to recover my children and bring them safely home to the United States of America. However, the after effects of their abduction - which is due to the outright negligence of the Holiday Inn - is something which my boys and I suffer from every second of every day.
Despite the fact that we are safely back in New York, I am drowning in debt from foreign legal fees and cant seem to get my head above water.
I fought tirelessly, alone in foreign lands, to bring my babies home. The three of us are now struggling with unimaginable layers of terror, trauma, and grief, which could have all been avoided had the Holiday Inn protected my children while we were guests at their resort.
Some of you may be wondering how it is possible that the Holiday Inn, or their parent company InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), has not provided any financial assistance or compensation for their negligence in allowing this abduction to even occur in the first place. With the last dollars in my bank account, I paid my lawyer to write an explicitly detailed and comprehensive Letter of Claim to IHG, on the 16th of July, 2021 - hoping that they would right this wrong and accept responsibility for this emotional, financial and legal nightmare.
On the 13th of October, 2021, after three agonizing months of waiting for a response, I finally received the most heartless and brazen single-page letter from IHG's legal representatives, which denied that their client (the Holiday Inn Resort) was negligent or liable. I was devastated, and since then, for the first time in my life, I am hopeless.
My only option is to file a civil action in the Supreme Court of New South Wales, Australia, where IHG, the parent company of Holiday Inn Resort Baruna Bali, Indonesia (where my babies were abducted from) has their headquarters. This civil action will require extensive legal funds since, unlike in the United States, Australian lawyers do not work on a contingency basis for personal injury suits. Please help me take this next step to legally force the Holiday Inn to take responsibility for allowing my children to be abducted from their premises and
doing nothing to stop it.
doing nothing to stop it.
Since we are now just barely getting by, I am financially unable to take this next step toward justice for my beautiful boys. I fought with all of my strength to bring my babies home to America. I am asking for your
assistance now to keep up the fight.
