Good people and people with compassionate hearts:
My name is Jad Murad, I am a father of three children, Maher, Elaine, and Yousef, who was born under the sounds of bombing in Gaza. We lived a simple life, working hard to support my family through my small pharmaceutical factory, but the war destroyed everything. I lost my home, my job, and any means of supporting my family.
Today, I find myself standing on the ruins of my former life, but I refuse to give up. I want to rebuild my future with my own hands, and that is why I decided to start a small project to produce hummus tahini, a local product that I can make and sell to support my family and help those around me in light of the blockade and the difficulties we face in Gaza.
I am one of the ambitious young people in Gaza who seek to turn difficult circumstances into opportunities. I dreamed of a small project through which I can start the path to dignity and self-sufficiency.
To get started, I need to buy a machine to grind chickpeas and some basic equipment. The cost is beyond my current means, so I am asking for your support. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a huge difference in my life and the lives of my children.
My project is based on a simple but influential idea: a chickpea grinding machine to produce healthy products that the people of Gaza need at reasonable prices and high quality.
Why do I need your support?
Gaza is full of energy and dreams despite the challenges. However, like many here, I face difficulties in providing the necessary capital to launch my project. With your support, I can:
- Buy the chickpea grinding machine, which is the main component of the project. (~$6000)
- Buy raw materials (~$2500-$3500)
- Provide packaging to distribute the product, and extend the power line from the solar cell to provide power to the grinding machine (~$2000-$3000)
